These portraits honor the people who accompanied me across different territories.: Indigenous teachers and guides, artisans, cooks, hosts, and others whose labor, generosity, and teachings shaped my experience of place.

Some relationships unfolded over time; others existed only for a moment. Through shared time, ceremony, or everyday interactions, each encounter carries its own form of responsibility, knowledge, and care.

This work is offered in gratitude - a way to remember and celebrate those who welcome us as we move through their homelands, making presence possible and allowing each place to feel lived, held, and remembered.
