Grant Panel & Evaluation Work

Served as a panel reviewer for two major funding initiatives in San Diego’s arts and culture sector. As part of the City of San Diego’s Department of Cultural Affairs FY26 grant review process, I evaluated nonprofit applications for general operating and project-based support. I was also selected as a judge for the Prebys SPARX program, reviewing proposals for a $1.1 million grant dedicated to promoting youth mental health and well-being through arts and culture, ensuring my commitment to equity-driven arts funding and uplifting community-centered initiatives.

RISE San Diego

Former fellow (2019) and current Coach for RISE Urban Leadership Fellowship and On The Rise

Facilitating and guiding a series of workshops and discussions rooted in the same adaptive leadership development strategies core to all RISE programs. Through deep dialogues, students gain a higher level of self-awareness and an understanding of the relationship between their past and future. Both programs culminate with a community action project plan and a personal narrative exploring their story, leadership experience, and community issues.

HORIZON Leadership

Horizon Leadership, a program of the University of San Diego, is dedicated to sustainable leadership development for individuals working to improve the health and well-being of underserved and under-resourced communities. The program offers cohort-based learning, human-centered design thinking, peer coaching circles, and community-engaged implementation strategies.

As a Horizon Leadership alumni, I engaged deeply with adaptive leadership practices and collaborative problem-solving to design community-driven interventions. After graduating, I continue to support the program by mentoring new scholars, offering guidance rooted in lived experience, social justice values, and creative facilitation.
