This body of work is created on film as a way of slowing down and staying present with what unfolds. Working with 35mm and medium format film, analog cameras, and natural light, without the immediacy of review or correction, each image is shaped by attention, patience, and trust in the process.
Film photography is the foundation of my practice. It is the way I first learned to see and make images. For over a decade, I have continued working with film as a commitment to the roots of photography and to a way of making that values presence, materiality, and intention, despite the speed and dominance of digital image-making.
These photographs hold what remains when nothing is rushed and the quiet honesty of seeing.
